You

The story was written in the second person point of view. This means that the narrator addresses the main character as "You". I think in this story, using this point of view worked out extremely well. The readers still read the story in the girls perspective but it's shown in an unique way. I also like how the story takes place in two different time periods. It first starts in the present, then goes to the girl's childhood, then back to the present. This allows the readers connect more with the character by understanding where she's from and how she grew up.
In my opinion, this story could be very relatable to a lot of people. I have not experienced the things the girl has in the story, but I hear about this type of stuff in TV shows and on the news. I can't understand why anyone would want to harm their child sexually. How could someone traumatize a kid like that? I sometimes think that maybe the parents who do this have experienced the same when they were younger and have grown up to think that this type of behavior is okay. I also think that the parents might have a phycological problem and it causes them to do weird and crazy things. I felt so bad for the girl in the story because she had no one to support her mentally and no one was around to stop it from happening.
